BIO
Vinnie Corrales answers the age old question, "What do Pre-K teachers do at night?" By way of Texas, Corrales uses his clever irreverence and grounded surrealism to entertain audiences in clubs across the region with an array of tales ranging from life as a teacher to being the product of, and someone currently in, an interracial marriage. His witty, yet vulnerable, misdirects leave crowds enamored with his ability to reimagine what can be funny.

Corrales has been seen on ESPN’s Bettor Days (Disney+/Hulu) and the popular Office Hours Live podcast; his comedy has been featured in publications including Joke Town, Theater Jones and Voyage Magazine; he’s performed on stages ran by Don’t Tell Comedy, House of Blues, and the Texas Theatre; he’s participated festivals including SXSW, Tower City, and Dallas Comedy Festivals; and he’s shared the stage with comedians including, but not limited to Ali Macofsky, Ralph Barbosa, Anthony Devito, Brian Kiley, and Steve Byrne. But the most gratifying accolades of his one man show are his back-to-back “Teacher Of The Year” awards.

Corrales exercised his “open carry” right by breaking out a rubik’s cube for his #1 debut comedy album “Rebel Without Applause: Live from Texas” available now (in select stores and) on Apple Music/iTunes/Spotify/Amazon/Pandora/etc. When he's not on stage making strangers laugh, he can be found with his wife riding his motorcycle or anthropomorphizing their cat/bulldog.

Testimony
Vinnie has a knack for playing at the height of his intelligence while never losing sight of the value of the punchline. Few comics combine silly and smart the way he can. A true original.
-Sean Traynor, Addison Improv GM
Vinnie Corrales is an expert at bait and switch comedy; he is full of left turns. When he is on stage it’s like he’s playing comedy chess, because he is always two or three moves ahead of the audience. Very unique joke structure. Not only is Vinnie hilarious, he is also a pleasure to work with backstage. Vinnie is one of the most original and eccentric comedians I have worked with.
-Billy Ansoff, Addison Improv Manager
Vinnie started at The Backdoor, and we are not surprised he is conquering stages all over the southwest! There are no limits for this young comic. His bold comedy is the best combination of clever and absurd. The way he plays with tension and release is as artful as it is funny. Keep an eye out, Vinnie Corrales is one to watch.
-Linda Stogner, owner/booker of The Backdoor Comedy Club
Vinnie is one of the sharpest writers in the city and blindsides you with fantastic left turns you’d never see coming. His stage presence is top tier and I always love watching him work.
